Our photograph taken by Jackie Dixon (www.showmeyourwardrobe.blogspot.com) got published on Tommy Hilfiger’s Facebook Page!
Check out their “Vogue Fashion’s Night Out: Tommy Hilfiger Regent Street, London” Photo album.
Thank you Jackie Dixon for capturing that moment!
We are literally smiling ear to ear.. (a bit too much) Awkward. ;)

THE UPSHOT: LONDON FASHION NIGHT OUT (Part 2).
In my previous post, I described our London Fashion Night Out experience in detail, and now I’m back with the upshot and some photographs. I’ve seriously never seen so many over-dressed girls in one night.
We couldn’t be bothered to plan anything specific. In addition, how much are you supposed to see in 3 or 4 hours? So, we just started with Top Shop and walked towards Piccadilly Circus.
LNFO Stores, clearly advertised on their windows with the according stickers.
I figured Fashion Night Out isn’t only about late night shopping (fashionistas in Seoul would chuckle at this offer. They can even go shopping at 4 am in the morning. Monday to Sunday!), but LFNO means meeting creative people, having fun with friends and lovers in stores, without really focusing on the clothes. At the end of the night, you might feel a lot more closer to the brand.Or did that marketing plan only work on me?
Nicole Before: no opinion about Tommy Hilfiger.
Nicole Now: “Cool brand! I should go to one of their stores again. I especially like the beige trench-coat, and the smart navy cardigan (in this autumn’s collection).
Tip: Stay away from mainstream “favourite” fashion stores and go to expensive stores. Even though you can’t spend much. Who cares? In my opinion, this night isn’t really about shopping. You will avoid queues and enjoy exclusive service.

THIS WAS MY LONDON FASHION NIGHT OUT 2011 (Part 1).
Straight after work, I bought a disposable camera, met up with my boyfriend and we headed to the stores.
I thought all I really need to see was Top Shop. But, that wasn’t the best bit of the evening.

After going all the way up, then all the way down (It’s so BIG!), we found a screen with short videos of girls holding up pre-written fashion statements. On the other side of the scenery, smartly dressed girls were holding presentations about fashion.

Ok. I admit I didn’t do my research. I was just full of expectations. The atmosphere was hectic and the store was overcrowded. Additionally not knowing what was next on Topshop’s program, made us leave the store - slightly dissapointed.

We crossed the road and entered the H&M store. A DJ was doing her thing and a simple photo-booth was attracting fashionistas. Again, we didn’t fancy the lack of space and neither did we fancy taking a photo in some booth, while wearing a wig that hundreds of other people were wearing before us.
Nah. Not our thing.

Next: GUESS store.
We decided to walk towards Piccadilly Circus. The crowd was getting less, but that’s when our own London Fashion Night Out experience was getting a lot better. GUESS was extremely pleasant. A blond diva offered mini branded cupcakes. Make-up/hairstylists were offering hair style make-overs. A petite asian girl walked straight up to us and offered champagne. She also promised a bottle of perfume (if we purchased something worth 30 pounds).

Oh! We stopped by HOSS INTROPIA as well. I’ve never heard of them, but they look like ZARA, Mango or Cos. A photographer was taking photos, a bar was built in the middle of the store and a good-looking casanova-like man was juggling with bottles, mixing cocktails & showing off his skills.
Music was blasting my head off. I was seriously afraid of losing my ears.. Well, at least I would have turned deaf due to superbe house music.

Finally, we stopped by Tommy Hilfiger. As soon as I spotted Jackie Dixon (photographer and blogger), I forced my boyfriend to come in with me.
Large girl groups were getting their photographs taken while making hilarious faces.
I felt like having a photo for the album as well. So, we wore some Tommy clothes and started posing - very awkwardly. Until Jackie stopped clicking, looked up from her camera and asked my boyfriend if she knew him from somewhere.
My oh my. The world is small. They worked together on a Benetton campaign shoot in New York. Next Thursday in Oxford Street, she’s going to take casting photos for the next Benetton Competition: It’s your time! Go for it!
Which reminds me. I have to upload more photographs of that fashion night out!
