I bought a new film camera!
Even though I keep telling myself I’ll buy a new DSLR, I end up buying analogue, old, charming ones. I just love how it shoots, there are way more colours and contrast in the photographs… I can’t wait to see how the photographs turn out on this one, I’m not even sure if it’s working, as I bought it a few days ago at the Greenwich Flea market.

I also added this applied Photoshop action: Vintage Black and White. (Right-click and save into your Preset folder “Actions”)
So for the same effect like my photographs, all you have to do is add the action into your Photoshop’s preset folder called “actions”. Once it’s inside, you have to open up Photoshop, open the little protocoll/action’s window, choose the “VintageBW”, press play and watch the magic happening by itself ^.^

WEDNESDAY PHOTOSHOP DAY #1: VINTAGY PORTRAIT LOOK.

I’m aware that there are quite a few who drop by this site on a daily basis interested in or who are at least tolerant of posts having to do with Photoshop.
So I’m offering to you now, a new Photoshop category, that will be published every Wednesday or Thursday.

I’ll start this tutorial by underlining that most of the tricks I use have been self taught or picked up at random places along the way, and the tutorials I share with you follow no systematic order or plan. In fact, they make no sense.

But they might be inspiring.

So let’s start by creating that vintagy portrait look.

1. BEFORE.

2. Mask out the edges and create a stronger “gaussian” blur.

3. Create a brighter edge through lens correction. (-60)

4. Reduce red, add more blue, yellow and more contrast. The vintagy portrait look is ready.

By the way, this is the first photo that proves that I’m in London right now ^.^

It’s 10 AM, Wednesday and I’m ready for my second cup of coffee.
Good morning everyone, 2 more days left and it’s weekend!

Designers Phil Clandilon and Steve Milbourne created those awesome 3D posters for the London band: Dry the River.
I didn’t come across any of those yet, but from now on I’ll take a closer look ^.^
Photos and videos are coming up soon!
P.s: London is awesome!
